The Rugby CSP has the following strategic priorities for 2021-2025:
- young people linked to knife related violent crime
- personal robbery
- retail business crime
- domestic abuse
- exploitation of young people
- hate crime
In addition to the strategic priorities, the CSP has committed to address themes which impact a number of the priorities, including cyber crime, drug and alcohol misuse, and reducing reoffending.
Local priorities
The Rugby CSP also has local priorities which have been set from studying intelligence received by partners and sub-groups, and through responses received during a public consultation.
The CSP has the current local priorities:
- youth intervention - work with young people to prevent young people becoming victims or perpetrators of crime
- violence against women and girls - work to reduce incidents of violence and/or harassment of women and girls
- area-specific action, Benn Ward - focus on community safety in a ward with higher risk factors of crime due to deprivation and lower social and economic opportunities
