Capture the spirit of Rugby's past and present on camera
Photographers have been encouraged to celebrate the town's past and present in this year's contest, capturing iconic images of Rugby on camera.
And snappers keen to sharpen camera skills before entering the calendar competition can attend workshops at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum run by professional photographer, Jamie Gray.
Entrants have been urged to interpret this year's 'past and present' theme in creative and imaginative ways, with the best dozen photographs - selected by a panel of judges - taking pride of place in the 2019 Rugby Calendar and featuring in a display at the Art Gallery and Museum.
The overall winner of the competition wins a Polaroid OneStep2 camera or the equivalent value in Rugby town centre shopping vouchers, courtesy of sponsor Rugby First.
The photography skills workshops take place on Saturday 23 June and Saturday 4 August from 10am to 2pm.
Participants can learn hints and tips to improve camera skills before joining Jamie on a tour of the town centre to take photographs.
To book a place at a workshop, priced £20, visit Rugby Visitor Centre, call (01788) 533217 or email visitor.centre@rugby.gov.uk
Entry forms for the Rugby 2019 Calendar Competition can also be picked up at the Visitor Centre or downloaded at www.therugbytown.co.uk/calendarcompetition
Entries to the competition must be received by Friday 31 August.
