Rugby Borough Council has confirmed plans to revamp the play area in Glaramara Close next year and wants the community to take part in the consultation to help shape the design.

The council intends to deliver consultation packs to schools in Brownsover and the homes of residents living near the play area, and the wider community can have a say by completing the online consultation form on the council's website: www.rugby.gov.uk/glaramara

Cllr Howard Roberts, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for environment and public realm, said: "We know residents have been asking for a refurbishment of the play area for some time, so we're pleased to now be in a position to start work on the project.

"Consultations form a vital part of our planning process so we can identify improvements the community want and incorporate the ideas in our draft design, so I'd encourage residents to take the opportunity to have a say."

The consultation closes at 5pm on Monday 18 January. A draft design for the refurbishment looks set to be published for further consultation in the spring, with work starting on the revamp in the autumn.
