Rugby Borough Council has invited borough-based organisations to submit expressions of interest in grants ranging from £250 to £750.

The grants aim to help charities, voluntary and community organisations to deliver projects which support Rugby's response to the pandemic through to recovery.

Organisations keen to develop new ways of working and connecting with residents through digital technology, or launch projects to address specific issues which have arisen during the pandemic, have been encouraged to apply.

Cllr Emma Crane, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for communities and homes, said: "Community and voluntary organisations play a vital role in the borough and, like all of us, have faced many challenges during the pandemic.

"Our new grants aim to provide organisations with some additional help to overcome those challenges, developing projects which engage our communities during lockdown and 'future-proof' support services moving forward to recovery.

"We have limited funding but welcome all expressions of interest which can deliver real benefits to the borough's residents."
