It is important to note that NHS services and Public Health are well prepared for outbreaks of infectious diseases such as COVID-19. Rugby Borough Council is also well prepared.
An internal Strategic Coordinating team has been established, along with a Tactical Delivery team. These teams meet at least weekly and feed into the weekly local resilience forum’s Strategic Coordinating Group (SCG) and the weekly Cabinet Office briefings.
We are making sure our business continuity plans are up to date and ready to activate should we need them. Business continuity planning includes enabling employees to work flexibly so that they can continue to deliver services without unnecessary travel or unnecessary contact with vulnerable staff or residents.
