Audit of Accounts

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15 and 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2011.

From Thursday 10th July to Wednesday 6th August 2014 inclusive between 9am and 5pm, any person interested may on application to the Head of Resources, (Town Hall, Evreux Way, Rugby), inspect and make copies of the accounts of Rugby Borough Council for the Year ended 31st  March 2014 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to them.

Mr John Gregory, the audit Engagement Lead, has appointed Friday 8th August 2014 at 10am, as the date on or after which local government electors for Rugby Borough Council may exercise their rights under the above regulations to raise questions or make objections as to any matter referred to in Section 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 about the accounts. Any such elector or representative may  ask that the auditor issues a report in the public interest (under section 8 of the Audit Commission Act 1998) and/or apply to the court for a declaration that an item in the accounts is contrary to law (under section 17 of the Audit Commission Act 1998).

Written notice of any proposed objection and of the grounds on which it is to be made must previously be sent to;
