Certificate of Existence
Certificate of Existence
Rugby Borough Council can sign a Certificate of Existence.
This service is currently £16.00.
A Certificate of Existence, also referred to as Proof of Life, a Certificate of Life or a Letter of Existence, is produced by foreign governments, pension and insurance companies to request confirmation from a trusted entity an individual is still alive.
The confirmation means an individual can still receive payments.
We can sign a Certificate of Existence if you book an appointment with our legal team and bring the following to the Town Hall:
- the Certificate of Existence
- an English translation of the certificate (if written in another language)
- original photographic ID (eg. passport or driving licence)
- if you're not on the Electoral Register for the property you live in, proof of your address (eg. utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill)
To book an appointment with our legal team, email legal.services@rugby.gov.uk
Please do not visit the Town Hall without making an appointment.
