Due to crew availability we will not be able to complete one black (refuse) round on Tuesday 1 July. This round affects Wolston and Brandon.
We have a duty to identify and inspect sites which could be contaminated.
Land can be contaminated by a variety of sources, such as waste disposal, industry or naturally occurring substances.
For land to be classed as contaminated, it must pose a significant risk to either humans, wildlife or water resources.
Our contaminated land strategy sets out the steps we take to identify, inspect and remediate contaminated land.
The council has a legal duty to keep a public register of contaminated land in the borough.
We currently have no contaminated land on the register.
