Enjoy Rugby Festival guide now available

The Enjoy Rugby Festival guide contains details of all the events taking
place in the Proud Home of the game during the tournament, with the
Rugby Village and Fanzone in Old Market Place hosting a packed programme
of entertainment from 12 September to 6 November.
Distribution of the guide to thousands of homes across the borough has
now started. Copies can also be picked up from Rugby Visitor Centre
while you can read the guide online at www.enjoyrugby.co.uk
The Enjoy Rugby Festival has entertainment for all the family, with more than 30 events to choose from.
You can enjoy film, theatre, music, comedy, art, exhibitions, fashion, science, dance, food and drink - and, of course, rugby.
Famous names visiting the Proud Home for the festival include Paul
Grayson, Catherine Spencer, Gavin Hastings, James Wong, Ian McMillan and
Tony Husband.
Music comes from The Searchers, Stringfever, Mallory Knox and the ACM
Gospel Choir, while film fans can enjoy Wind In The Willows, Back To The
Future, Shaun The Sheep and Invictus.
The Enjoy Rugby Festival also features the Ministry Of Science, a
performance of Torch Theatre Company's acclaimed one-man play, Grav, and
a night of top stand-up comedy.
The Rugby Village - a unique covered events space - becomes an official
Rugby World Cup 2015 Fanzone on match days, when it shows games live on a
giant screen.
The festival guide includes a Rugby World Cup 2015 planner, with dates
and kick-off times for all the games so you can be at the heart of the
action in the Proud Home of the game.
Cllr Heather Timms, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for economy,
development and culture, said: "The Enjoy Rugby Festival celebrates
Rugby World Cup 2015 and our town's heritage as the birthplace and Proud
Home of the game.
"The festival line-up has been designed to cater for all ages and
interests, and also celebrates Rugby's other contributions to the world -
from literature and science to sport and education.
"While we prepare to welcome thousands of visitors to the Proud Home
during Rugby World Cup 2015, we also want residents to join in the fun
and enjoy the special atmosphere in the town during the tournament.
"I'd encourage everyone to pick up a copy of the Enjoy Rugby Festival
guide and find out how to join in what promises to be a memorable
event."
