Last chance to vote for Rugby Open's People's Choice Award
Rugby Open 2022 opened in early December, showcasing dozens of pieces from artists across Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Coventry.
Artworks were selected for the exhibition by a judging panel which included Ceri Lewis, curator at the Tate and National Galleries Scotland, and David Remfry, director of drawing at the Royal Academy of Art.
The judging panel selected the overall winner of the Open, who was revealed during an award ceremony at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum which took place at a special exhibition preview event.
Neil McNaught was crowned the overall winner for his photograph taken at the Notting Hill Carnival, receiving £1,000 and a free exhibition at the Floor One Gallery.
A full list of Open winners can be found on Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's website: www.ragm.co.uk/rugby-open-2022
But visitors to the Open still have the chance to vote for a favourite artwork in the exhibition, with the creator of the most popular piece winning £150 and the prestigious People's Choice Award.
Katie Boyce, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's senior exhibitions and programming officer, said: "The Open gives a great opportunity to up-and-coming artists to showcase work in a professional gallery and we were delighted to receive so many entries for this year's exhibition, with the quality of works exceptionally high.
"We were delighted Ceri and David were on this year's judging panel to select pieces for the exhibition and choose the overall winner, but the People's Choice Award gives everyone the chance to pick a favourite piece and help decide the winner of the Open's final prize."
Voting for the People's Choice Award closes at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum at 4pm on Saturday (7 January).
Rugby Open 2022 runs until Saturday 4 February.
