Stage hypnotism authorisation

You must have authorisation from us if you wish to show, demonstrate or perform a hypnotism act in public. You must comply with any conditions that we apply.

How to apply

Tacit consent

Tacit consent applies to this permit. This means that you may act as if you have the relevant authorisation if you do not hear from us within 28 days.

Fees

There is a fee of £100 for this licence. If you perform hypnotism without authorisation you can be fined £1000. The same fine applies if you hypnotise someone who is less than 18 years old.

Appeals

If you are not happy with the way that we dealt with your application you should contact us in the first instance. You must contact us straight away.
